The role: Technical Lead/Manager
As a Technical Lead/Manager (TLM), you will own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects. This position is not a pure management position; TLMs are expected to contribute technically to their project. Our interview process will emphasize technical skills and management/organizational skills equally.
Responsibilities:
* Own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
* Overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
* Work with product managers and/or customers to understand feature requirements, and drive their detailed definition.
* Demonstrate independence, creativity and initiative and the ability to master a solid understanding of the company?s architecture and its business goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
* Relevant hands-on technical experience with a record of strong individual technical achievement.
* Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
* Strong C/C or Java or Python programming skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* PhD in Computer Science.
* Knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
* People management skills, proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Capable of working closely with product management to ensure we are building the best products.
