SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit for a Head of IS Security on behalf of our client, a recognised industry leader within the Online Gaming community. As technology is paramount to their growth strategy, this role is ranked as a priority and highly valued, and it is key that the right individual is selected. If you are a looking to take the next step in your career, and this Head of IS Security sounds like the role for you then you will need the following skills and experience:
* Strong eCommerce experience. I.e. Understands the domain we operate in - typical threats, how to gain information from outside entities about emerging threats etc.
* Experience working in a large organisation.
* Needs to understand reporting lines - this person needs to have demonstrated 'owning' security for organisations.
* Must be able to operate at PLC board level -provide updates, robustly and effectively.
* Impeccable communication skills - both to execs, but also to piers and team. Must be able to demonstrate selling of security to execs and piers.
* Team player/ dynamic.
* CV/career history that has developed technically - clear upwards path in security related technology, through team lead, and into management.
* An exceptional background within an e-commerce, highly transactional or Online Gaming environment
* A strong communicator with proven influencing skills, and an ability to manage internal and external relationships
* Strong leadership experience and a proven track record in building teams
* Previous "hands on" IS Security experience
* Direct experience of the ITIL Information Security Process and IS 270001*

This is an important role to the over all success of the business and the key purposes for the Head of IS Security role are:
* Ensuring the company to manages its security effectively by providing strategic direction, functional leadership and oversight across the business
* Providing in-depth technical expert security support, knowledge and advice in delivering cost effective IS risk management to agreed service levels
* Ensuring compliance with IS security policies across the business including industry regulatory requirements and commercial obligations such as PCI-DSS
Overall key areas of responsibility will include:
* Security and Risk Strategy, Policies and Procedures
* Security Management
* Customer Service and Relations
* Operational Budgeting and Reporting
* People Management, Team Leadership and Development
Any of the following recognised certifications would be an advantage:
* Security certifications - CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC
* Technical certifications - CCSP, CCSA, CCSE, CEH,
* ITIL certification or experience of working within an ITIL oriented organisation.
* Educated to degree level within an IT discipline
